Sir John Benjamin Stone, English politician and photographer, 1902.

Chromolithograph by Vincent Brooks Day and Son Ltd of a caricature by Leslie Ward, better known as Spy, from ‘Vanity Fair’ magazine. Sir John Benjamin Stone (1838-1914) was an English scholar. He later became a documentary worker and in 1895 founded the National Photographic Record Association. He is best remembered for his photographs of everyday Victorian life.
