Temple Mills wagon works, 1960

Scraping shop at Temple Mills wagon works, London, 22 April 1960. Temple Mills wagon works was built in 1896 on the Great Eastern Railway. It was mainly used for repairs to carriages and containers. At this time, around 400 people were working in the works. The works closed in 1984, due to a decrease in the amount of freight being moved.
