Manchester Exchange station, c 1910.

Platform at Manchester Exchange station, about 1910. This station was opened in 1884 and was owned by the London & North Western Railway. It was opened because the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway would not accept the LNWR as joint owners of Manchester Victoria station. Manchester Exchange station was closed down in 1969 and demolished.
