Wharncliffe Viaduct, 1845

Wharncliffe viaduct at Hanwell, Greater London, by John Bourne, 1845. Bourne is known for his illustrations of railways in the 1830s and 1840s, especially the building of the railways. He was commissioned by the Great Western Railway to produce a book of wash drawings of stations and infrastructure along the line, from which this picture is taken.
