Turbine, Battersea Power Station, 31 January 1935.

'A giant new turbine which will be the largest in Europe and the British Empire, is being erected at Battersea Power Station, London'. Designed by the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, Battersea Power Station provided London with electricity between 1933 and 1983. Although the building has been unused and derelict since its closure, Battersea Power Station remains one of London's most iconic architectural landmarks.
