Women demonstrating an Ekco radio, Radiolympia, London, 1938.

A photograph of two women with an Ecko radio at the Radiolympia Exhibition held at Olympia, taken by Edward Malindine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 23 August, 1938. The two women are demonstrating the workings of a mechanical push-button radio tuner. The dial on the front provided a choice of international radio stations. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
